    t - l0 heavy tank

Tank T-10 was developed in the Soviet Union after the end of World War II due to this need for a heavy tank. Until the end of the 1950s, was built in 2500 these tanks. They were used only in the Soviet Union and were designed to provide a large-scale fire support T-54/55 tanks and actions to break the fortified areas. Restrictions on strength and insufficient size combat placement require the use of special ammunition. After graduating from frontline service T-10, like all Soviet tanks, many years remained in reserve. Speed reduction compared with the earlier T-34 was unclear, as the Red Army has always attached special importance to the speed of the machine, both during and after the Second World War. Soviet tanks usually had good power to mass ratio, but the T-10 had to increase the weight, having gone thus reducing the rate.
